Therapy wherever you are

Online therapy

A quiet corner, a good connection and a little uninterrupted time — that's usually all it takes. Online therapy can be surprisingly close.

Many people I work with are in Copenhagen, but a growing number are elsewhere — internationals settled in Denmark, expats abroad, people who travel a lot, people whose everyday life simply doesn't allow another cross-city trip. Online therapy makes it possible to have a steady, thoughtful place to think, wherever you are.

When online therapy fits well

  • You live outside Copenhagen or outside Denmark
  • You travel frequently or work across time zones
  • You're navigating serious illness, treatment or exhaustion and can't easily get out
  • You value the flexibility of fitting sessions around a full life
  • You are more comfortable opening up from your own home

How it works in practice

Sessions are held over a secure video connection at an agreed time. You'll receive a link before each session. All you need is a quiet room, a stable connection and around an hour of uninterrupted time. Many international clients combine online and in-person sessions when they happen to be in Copenhagen.

The therapy itself is exactly the same as in the room — unhurried, existential, warm. Silences are still allowed. Tears are still welcome. What matters is that you have a place to be met.

Frequently asked questions

Is online therapy as effective as in-person?

For most concerns, yes. Research is now robust that online therapy is comparable to in-person work for many issues, particularly for existential and reflective work. What matters most is the quality of the connection between us, not the medium.

Which platform do you use?

I use a secure video platform designed for confidential conversations. You'll receive a link before each session — no account setup needed on your side.

What if I'm not in Denmark?

That's fine. I work regularly with clients across Europe and further afield. We agree on times that suit your time zone.

Do you accept international insurance?

Some international health insurance plans cover therapy with an MSc-level therapist. I can issue receipts in English. Please check the details with your provider before we begin.

What do I need for a session?

A quiet room, a stable internet connection, headphones if you can, and about an hour of uninterrupted time. That's really it.

Can I switch between online and in-person?

Absolutely. Many international clients meet online most of the time and in person when they happen to be in Copenhagen.

How much does it cost?

The same as in-person sessions. See the Fees page for current rates.
